I operate Stoney Hill Associates as a consultancy in software development, QA and information technology. We focus on the needs of small technology companies and other clients who need - just enough - of the right knowledge and skill to make their computers run and their software projects successful. In past projects, I have developed custom instruments for thermal, electrical, and physical measurements; and performed QA management and engineering for a wide variety of products: one of the earliest Internet news services, software for trading floors, printers and imaging systems, high-volume mail processing systems, storage software and control applications. Those assignments took me to New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, North Carolina and a host of other places. While I have friends and family all over, I'm now located near Boston, perhaps my favorite city of all. Large organizations can handle their software and computing needs in large ways: outsourcing support and development projects, acquiring companies and similar big-company techniques. Startup firms and small organizations traditionally haven't had that luxury. I started Stoney Hill Associates to serve those customers, quite possibly someone like you. I hold a BS in electrical engineering from Cornell, and a MS in electrical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. I've also completed graduate study in Software Engineering at Brandeis University, where I continue to teach. |
